Viral Video of the Week: Lil Bub

Recently this lovely little lady has become an internet sensation. Lil Bub, who was a runt of her litter, has some health issues — she cannot walk or jump around and has a hard time keeping her tongue in her mouth. Her owner, Michael Bridavsky, thought her adorable face and good nature in spite of her problems could inspire people. Bub has made her rounds recently on The Today Show and The View and her film, “Lil Bub & Friendz” took home the Best Feature Film award at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. If you’re obssessed with her like I am you can find her at her website or YouTube channel.

Lil Bub is just the cutest! I will definitely be keeping an eye on her 😉

The White House is the Newest Addition to Tumblr

President Obama has been infamous in his use of social media not only in his campaigning but now his 2nd term of presidency. Yesterday, the White House announced it has created a Tumblr account.

“We see some great things here at the White House every day, and sharing that stuff with you is one of the best parts of our jobs,” White House’s first post on Tumblr states. “That’s why we’re launching a Tumblr”.

Besides gifs, the White House Tumblr page promises to have things like the best quotes from the President and White House visitors and pictures of the lovable First Dog, Bo.

Is the US Getting Funny Money?

Back in 2010 the Federal Reserve announced a new US $100 bill. Well it’s finally coming and it’s debut will be on Oct. 8, 2013.

What’s special about this new $100 bill? According to the Federal Reserve, it’s more secure and should be much harder to counterfeit due to features like a 3D security ribbon, a second picture of Benjamin Franklin that can be seen in the light, and a “100″ in the bottom right that shifts color. These features are supposed to help prevent the creation of counterfeit bills. You can read about all the new features here.

XBOX 360 is No Longer Just for Gaming

Xbox has teamed up with an unexpected source, Pizza Hut!

Pizza Hut and Microsoft are launching an app that lets gamers place Pizza Hut orders via Xbox Live. The “Create Your Pizza App” is marketed towards gamers who are glued to the couch and rarely put down their game controllers, not even to order food for goodness sakes. By voice input or Kinect gestures, a gamer can enter their orders to Pizza Hut.

According to the release, this is the first tangible good ever made available via the Xbox Live platform. To succeed the app needs to be the “cool, new way” to order pizza not to mention it needs to be easier than just picking up the phone.

LivingSocial are the Latest Hacker Victim

Yesterday LivingSocial announced that it’s the latest company hit by hackers. The hackers accessed names, email addresses, date of birth and encrypted passwords for over 50 million users. The database that stores customer credit card information was not affected or acessed. However I recommend if you have a LivingSocial account to change your password immediately.
